An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
